Southern Bride is always looking for special and unique vendors to share with our brides. Lenny and Jenny, a Nashville based couple, offer beautiful hand crafted items that will give your wedding that country rustic feel that is so popular. Every bride is looking to find that line between having a wedding that everyone will love but that is a reflection of her own life. Every pinterest worthy product that Lenny & Jenny Designs offers is totally customizable and will be completely unique to your special day.
We think one of the things that makes Jenny & Lenny Designs so special is Jenny & Lenny themselves. They’re a southern couple with a love for craftsmanship and design. We’d like to share with you a few highlights from our interview.
Meet Jenny & Lenny
Two years ago we purchased our first home just outside of Nashville. It was a foreclosure and just about every room was a massive project. We did it all ourselves and learned that Lenny’s skill set and my eye for detail really compliment each other. Lenny grew up on a farm and is super handy. He loves flannels, saws, and sports. He’s a man’s man. As for me, Jenny, party throwing is my love language. I love hosting, decorating, mixing old with new, and painting in a quiet place with a cup of coffee. Almost everything you see on our page we’ve made for our own home and for our friends, who have encouraged us to share these items with you.
Where do you find your inspiration?
We love all things rustic and reclaimed. Our wood is found everywhere from a 100 year old barn in North Dakota to weathered pallets and fences in Nashville. We are scavengers for perfectly weathered wood. Each piece of wood is inspected, sanded, and kiln-dried. We play with fonts, colors, and design to bring out the uniqueness of the wood and tell your story. All of our signs are customizable, so in many ways our customers are the inspiration. We have learned so many beautiful stories through painting meaningful quotes, mixing combinations of states, and creative custom centerpieces for important events.
What are your products you do specifically for brides?
Our barn wood box is the perfect centerpiece for brides trying to add a rustic feel to their wedding. We keep our social media pages, website, and pinterest stocked with ideas for filling these boxes to get the look brides are desiring. Another of our most popular items is our His/Hers sign. This sign displays his and her states with hearts in their home towns, showing the journey that led them to one another. Many of our brides use these as guest books for their guests to sign, and then display in their homes.
Anything new in the works that you’re excited about?
“First comes love, then come marriage, then comes baby in a baby carriage.” We have created beautiful items for your nursery; white washed barn wood boxes, rustic americana stars, and sweet signs for baby. Check it out!
What does the future hold for Lenny & Jenny Designs?
The dream of all dreams would be to own a barn wedding venue. We have been dreaming of creating the perfect space for couples to celebrate their union. We are always looking for land in the hills of Tennessee to make that dream a reality! Stay tuned..
