Parties.

I LOVE hosting.  I always have.  It’s in my bones, as I grew up with a mother who hosted and hosted well.  I also believe that special days should be celebrated!  Here are a few of my favorite 2014 parties.

1.  A baby shower.  Last spring I was thrilled to celebrate one my closest friends first baby.  This friend has a crazy amount of women who adore her, so I was thrilled to be able to bring all these ladies together to shower her with gifts and encouragement.

Food: yogurt bar, mini quiches, mimosas, coffee

Activities:  Decorate baby’s first set of blocks, guess the due date (chalkboard)

2.  My oldest turns 4!  There are a few things I know for sure about my 4 year old… the child loves people, activities, and super heroes!  I’ll probably only do this type of party once for each child in their toddler years.  We went all out for this one, with a super hero challenge course in the backyard - and no one was more excited than Spiderman!

Food: Pigs in a Blanket, Popcorn, Juice Boxes, Cake!

Activities: Backyard superhero training course

3.  Family Harvest Party.  This was a fun one, we invited all the families we know and love and threw a fall party in our backyard.  It was a wonderful time with our community and I think we’ll plan to do it every year!

Food: Hot Cider, Popcorn, Carmel Apple bar, Potluck of chips and dip

Activities:  Bonfire, Photo Booth, Hayride
